2nd Grade Weekly Newsletter: 8/26-8/29
Breakfast is over at 7:45. We take our first bathroom break at 7:50 and then rotate for first class. If your student is tardy, their mornings are most likely chaotic as they catch up and struggle with breakfast. We want to avoid this and help them have a comfortable and routine start to their morning.

Does your student have headphones?
Unfortunately, the district doesn't supply extra headphones for classrooms. The headphones purchased are meant for computers specials in the library, therefore if students do not bring headphones and they are working on laptops in class it can get loud and overstimulating very quickly! Please look around for headphones, and check in with your student to make sure theirs is still working properly.
Every day we check students folders to collect homework and write any behavior notes from the day. We need you to check for homework and behavior notes every night and initial the day's box. This helps hold students accountable for their work and choices at school, while practicing responsibility of bringing the folder to and from school each day. We will randomly give out Hawk Bucks to students who consistently get their parent's initials every night.
